In this tutorial, I show you where and how to make your own speech bubble, and I use therefor Dutchisms.
Dutchism is translating the Dutch language and proverbs literally into English, using also Dutch words in an English pronunciation, in which often very funny phrases occur.
When something doesn’t make sense, we say in Holland “I can’t make any chocolate out of it”
There are a whole lot of hilarious sentences, I will name a few:
“It shall me be a sausage” = “I don’t care”
“That knocks like a case” = “That’s quite right”
“I almost went off my little stick” = “I allmost fainted”
“What find you there from? = “What do you think of it?”
“Your sowing me an ear on = “Your kidding me”
“But all craziness on a stick” = “Let’s get serious”
How to make your own speech bubble
go to: Phrase it! (Superlame is discontinued)
“The child can do the washing” = “It’s a piece of cake”
To find more Dutchisms go to:
“Do you have sin in another lesson?” = “Do you like to follow another training?”
“Click here under on the knop” = “Click on the button below”

I’ve been wondering how so many people make their memes and speech bubbles to enhance their comical images. Is everything free that you create and download from superlame? I image they have upgradeable accounts and ways to charge for other things. Maybe I’ll just have to hop in and try it to find out.

There’s not many sites that I come across that make me laugh out loud, yours did! So thanks a lot. I think this is a bit of a metaphor for how we humans communicate with each other – there can be a lot of misunderstanding and I really like the way you’ve used humor here. Could you please clarify how and where these speech bubbles would come in useful?
Hi Grant, glad to have made you laugh out loud 🙂 a day without laughter is a day wasted. The speech bubbles are extremely suitable for your about me page for instance. Besides that, they are great to promote some special product as well, success using them:) Loes

Very funny! My wife lived in Germany for 8 years and they have some strange proverbs too. But I guess being strange is entirely subjective isn’t it?
I cannot make any chocolate of it? For real? I wonder where this proverb initially stemmed from, or if the direct translation into English is completely different?
My favourite has to be “The child can do the washing” lol – now that’s just awesome.
Hi Raymond, I am LMAO, yes I can not make chocolate out of it is the literally translation, beats me where it comes from, anyway I see you’ve enjoyed my blog:) See you later:) Loes
Ha! I’ve never heard of Dutchisms before! This is hilarious! I’m going to have to give this a go and confuse my family by speaking in nothing but Dutchisms.
Oh sure they’ll kick me out of the house but it will be worth it!
Thanks for the laughs
